Well, my friends, I went to the Rigging Shop but they only sell the polystyrene type, I am after a 'real' lifejacket, ie type that have a gas bottle to inflate, any more ideas please ???

For self inflating life jackets I think you will need to find an aviation supply shop or company.

I was going to say look under your seat next time you fly but that would be very naughty

Remember looking for a couple a few years ago in Pattaya, and seem to remember trying a couple of places and they all told me they could get them for me but the price was high, seem to remember being quoted THB 18000 a pop, if I can find the quote will give you the name of the company as cant remember off hand...

Try the 'Ship Chandlers' at the corner of the traffic lights at Naklua, (on the corner Sukhumvit, close to temple) if they dont have, Try Laem Chabang area, if they dont have buy online.
