Hi,

Early this year I got granted the 50+ years based 1 year visa extension for the first time. No money needed to be shown. One of my kids signed. Great indeed. For next year, can I renew the Visa on the same conditions or do I need to show now again money in Bank or elsewhere with the new laws been enforced? I'm confused somewhat. Which part of the law will apply? Sunbelt? Others?

Please let me know. Thanks.

It looks like you or your Wife will need 400,000 Baht in the bank OR 40,000 Baht a month income.

(5) In the case of a parent, one of parents must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit of not less than 400,000 baht for expenses within a year.

Thanks for the reply. But that info would be very bad, especially for the future outlock... Any other points of view?? Such as any grandfather option?

To be honest, they never liked issuing this anyway. It is highly unlikely that you would get any sympathy from Immigration.

But it is early days.
