I know this matter has been mentioned before, but yesterday I went to withdraw 20,000 baht from the Bangkok Bank ATM near the Empress Hotel in Changklan Rd, Chiang Mai. The machine cancelled my transaction and gave me back my card. Now my account in Australia has been debited the amount in Australian Dollars, though I never received any money! I only found this out today, which is the day I leave Thailand and of course it's a public holiday.

Have contacted my bank in Australia, I hope they can do something quick without me filling in a pile of forms and waiting 2 months.

A real sour note to end a forgettable trip to Thailand this time in.
