The first pic was a bit rushed on the way back to my tour van during november 2008.

The original photo looked ok in colour but i thought it could look a little better if i got creative with photoshop.

So about an hour later after earsing the upper B&W layer of the flower the following result imerged.

(take with Nikon D80, 18-200mm VRII set to 1/1600 f3.5 at 55mm, iso100)

Second pic was an unaware couple watching the sun setting along the beach front of Pattaya, was limited for time when i spotted this couple, "one last photo honest honey!!" so i set a higher shutter speed to darken the exposure, tried not to get in their view and bingo! could have been composed a little better though

(take with Nikon D80, 18-200mm VRII set to 1/250 f9 at 36mm, iso250)

Third pic is of the same flower girl again after changing to my 50mm f1.8 prime lens in an attempt to distort the rather bland background.

(take with Nikon D80, 50mm f1.8 set to 1/2500 f2.2 at 50mm, iso100)

Hi "karlos",

Good to have you on this forum and Welcome to Thai Visa.

I did change as per your request the "Topic Description".

Now many I request that you re-size your photos, so that folks on dial-up can view them. Below is an example of one photo that you posted:-

Thanks Kan Win.

Yeah not the best sunset pic in the world, bit rushed.

I'll post a couple of other pics in a new thread from my stay in Krabi tonight, have a few better sunset pics from there. :o

I like the features of the last shot but think it might work better in B+W - only my 2 pence worth though :o

The flower girl is a nice and sharp pic. Certainly shows up the limitations of the cheaper stock lens on my Canon :o . One minor criticism is that it would have been nicer if the girl was smiling and looked more relaxed, although realise that is not always possible.

I prefer the last one, out of the group,

but would have preferred to see the whole of her head. :o

Here you go katana, this pic was the only one i got of her attempting to smile, which was taken shortly after buying some flowers from her :D

I had my girlfriend translate "can you smile for the camera please" awwwww bless her and her half harted smile :D

P.S. I haven't editied this picture in any way as i decided it wasn't a keeper

Thank you to every one else for comments and input, Also have a copy of the 3rd group picture in B&W too The Vulcan :o
