Going To Bkk For 30-day Extension; Same Day Or No?

I was wondering if anyone has received an extension (from a tourist visa) from the Bangkok Immigration Office near Silom/Sathorn.

Do I leave my passport and pick it up the next day or do they stamp it then and there?

(I'm from the US and have a double-entry visa.)

Same day - but are you sure you'll get a 30 day extension. (sorry - I don't use Tourist visas but I thought the extensions were for 14 days.)

Tourist visa can be extented by 30 days.

Arrival without visa and having obtained a permission to stay for 30 days

should get a max. extension of 10 days.

here's one that not many people know about.. if you have a child here you can extend any visa by 2 months.. just fill in the form and state your reason for extension is to see your child.. good uh?
