Need Help/advice About Hyperlinks

I have a web content writing website and one of the services we offer is article submissions. Usually we submit a client's article to about 500 article directory sites and then in the bio/about author paragraph at the bottom we have 2-3 hyperlinks using the clients keyword which then directs to their website.

For some reason all the directories that we use have started giving us problems with this, either it will not show the keyword and will only show the entire link or the hyperlink will just direct back to the page with the article.

So far no response from the directories, does anyone else work in article submissions online and do they know the cause and/or solution to this?
