Boater Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 I am not to sure what has happened, as the internet should be SLOWER after the cables where cut But today i notice all my internet pages where downloading extremly quickly ( much quicker then before ) so i did a speedtest and here are my results http://www.speedtest.net/result/377003715.png normally it would only show 2000 download, So , what has happened? .. why is my internet DOUBLED in download speed??? onethailand Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 It appears that some ports have been blocked where the lines were cut - thus I suspect a lot of torrents aren't running. Unfortunately, it seems that some other ports have been blocked as well, I'd guess they are keeping the remaining cable for HTTP and mail traffic only.
