Belgian Falls To His Death At Pattaya Beach Hotel.

Featured Replies

On Saturday Night rescue workers received an urgent call to attend the Swimming Pool area at the Natural Beach Resort located on Pattaya Beach Road following reports of a foreign hotel guest falling from a 3rd floor balcony.

Police also attended the scene and watched as rescuer attended to Mr. Patrick Claes aged 42 who was known to be staying in room number 313. He had sustained serious head injuries and was unconscious.

Mr. Claes from Belgium, was clutching an empty can of beer and was known by Hotel staff as a heavy drinker. He had even been arrested days earlier by Pattaya Police for violent behavior because of his heavy drinking.

The victim’s room showed no signs of any disturbance and Police are sure the man fell off the balcony because of his drunken state and was not pushed.

Unfortunately, Mr. Claes died from his injuries some time later in Hospital.

a serious drinker sure if he was still clutching an empty can of beer ......as he had fallen a long way and was unconcious too.

r.i.p

Natural Beach is a low-rise hotel. The third floor must be the top floor. So he fell 10 metres? And died?

10 meters onto your head would do it

And he couldn't use his hands to cover his head cos he was clutching the empty beer can. Can't you read?

One day, all conspiracy theorists will die too.

It’s quite possible it was an accident. I had a friend do the same many years ago from a balcony. He was sitting on the balcony railing and leaned back too far when taking a swig of his beer. Luckily he landed on a lawn and wasn’t badly hurt. He missed the brick garden edge by inches.

Another friend living in the apartment underneath got the biggest fright as he watched the friend go sailing past his window and then heard the thump.

"what we got here boss is a broken neck hoople"

re-reading the story, the guy is arrested for violent behaviour (assuming this wasn't towards himself) a few days before then falls off a 3rd floor balcony.

how do the police know he wasn't pushed? no push marks on his back?

how high are the balconies in pattaya? two feet

God bless him.

Is anybody keeping track of how many falling of the balcony deaths this year?

Just wondering.

I knew a girl that died by falling just 10-15 feet but head first.

This one sounds like a legitimate 'fall'. Don't think he was pushed.
