December 24, 200421 yr Sky Train to run 24 hours during New Year BANGKOK: -- Bangkok's Sky Train will operate for the full 24-hours on the last day of 2004 to help commuters participating in the city’s New Year celebrations. Fares will also be at a special lower rate. The commuter service will begin from 06:00 a.m. on 31 December and operate to 06:00 a.m. on 1 January, 2005. An all-day Bt 100-ticket will be reduced to Bt 90, according to an advisor to the Bangkok Transit System, Anat Aphaphirom. Among the major New Year celebrations planned for the night of 31 December are the Pathumwan Amazing Countdown outside Lumpini Park and one at the Central World Plaza near Rajdamri Intersection. I wonder how much agonising went into making that decision.
December 24, 200421 yr Yup! i'll be in Phuket<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ....where the tuk-tuk drivers will follow Sky Trains example and reduce the fair for a 200 yard 'journey' from 150 baht to to 250 baht.
