A large Travel Agent in Hua Lamphong Railway Station

today told us that the Admitted Until Date means you must leave the Kingdom BEFORE that date.

And that staying until that date would mean Overstay.

I had always thought you could Legally leave ON that date

although I and my friends have never had the need to do so in the past.

Has anybody actual experience of Leaving ON the Admitted Until Date ??

Were they regarded as "OverStay"?

Thanks

Inclusive ... so you have to leave on that day.

At surrounding country borders you will be fined 500 baht immediately after the day stated. At the airport you will have one grace day. However, the second day you will be charged two days.

You can stay until the day of your stamp.

Actually they will not fine you within the first 24 hours after your stamp expire.

Agree you can stay until the day of your stamp.

Disagree they will not fine you within the first 24 hours. After an overnight train ride to Nong Khai and arriving there early morning, was fined at the border for being on overstay... and it was just 7 hours past the stamp's midnight expiration.

If you depart from an airport there is a grace period of 24 hours. You do not pay an overstay but they do put a little blue stamp that says you overstayed for less than 24 hours.

There is no grace period at land border crossings.

I was not concerned about Fines.

The Overstay Stamp in the Passport is my concern.

Is such a Blue Stamp known to have an adverse effect on future
