Any recommendations on clean and safe hotels in Krabi town no more than 1,000 baht and within walking distance of eateries, bus station, and pier?

Sorry, I stay in Ao Nang as most of my customers are there.

Here on the board though is pinned topic "Krabi Hotels", maybe take a look there and then look at the particular hotel's website.

A lot of people do not realise that Krabi town is not on the coast and is inland. You need to get either a taxi or bus to the beach. If you want to be on the beach try Au Nang

As already mentioned Krabi Town is not on the coast it's on a river. The bus station is a few miles outside of town and the Pier for boats to Phi-Phi, Phuket and Lanta is also some way out of town.

I usually stay at the Grand Tower Hotel which is clean and have not had any security problems there. It has been sometime since I stayed there recently so my info may be out of date though I have stayed there regularly over a number of years and the standard has been pretty much the same. Last time I stayed a AC room with hot shower and TV was about 600bt.
