hadnt been to k. chang for 5 or 6 years...

yes its grown like mad, but its not a bad place.

the ocean is not as nice as k samet, but food, and service seemed better.

in fact service was almost consistently good every restaurant we went .

what we liked is that you could rent a motorbike (if youre a decent driver) and visit a variety of environments...

its more like an upcountry town on the sea...

and thai people frequent the place, which we liked....

local people/workers arent jaded like those on phuket and samui...

but its not a rustic and undeveloped place in general... though there are spots/places on long beach that are very rustic and nice....
