I was a little shocked to find out today that all students (parents!) pay fees at Chiang Mai University. The government one!! The one with the highest entry requirements in the north. Or so it is said.

The fees (non residential - almost no student accom on ampus) start at around 10,000b per term although one, the newest faculty, the high tech CAMT, is rather more.
