Australian caught up in apparent random beating in Soi Kow Tha Low.

In the early hours of Monday Morning, Rescue Workers were called to a

7-Eleven Convenience Store located in Soi Kow Tha Low to investigate reports

of an assault on an Australian Man. Mr. James Dylan aged 27 was taken to the

Bangkok Hospital Pattaya suffering from a head injury sustained during an attack

by 7 Thai Men, according to Police Major Suwit from Banglamung Police Station.

Mr. Dylan was driving his motorbike home when he stopped outside an Internet

Shop after he heard lots of shouting coming from an Internet Shop. The Thai Men

inside the shop spotted Mr. Dylan and decided to chase him and attack him for

no apparent reason. The case is now under investigation and the Internet Shop

Manager is assisting Police with their enquiries.

Things that make you go "Hmmmm".

Just happens to be driving by on his motorbike, hears shouting from the shop, stops, and gets attacked for no apparent reason ? :o

Somehow I get the feeling that there's more to this story than what was printed. What are the chances we'll ever find out ?

It was Australia Day

I hope he is OK. Sounds like someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

....or just being in Pattaya, I guess!

Sounds like another Cowardly attack, like mongrel dogs, they're big in packs!

You posted the "news" thought nobody know what really happened so why doesn't a mod close the thread so as to avoid all the Thai bashers, fereng bashers, and Pattaya bashers from having at it :o

Well the topic has been open for 3 days and there only up to post 6, so obviously what you've stated above isnt really a problem.

^^ MJD, what on earth is a 'fereng'?

You a kiwi or wut?

Would "farangi" be the plural of "farang" ? :o

Curious minds want to know...why "fereng"?

Fereng = Feral Farang

From my observations of the foreign population in Thailand, it is apparent to this observer that many display feral characteristics, especially the part about having once been tame and having reverted to a wild state; and I have noticed many feral grins too. Therefore, my use of the term "fereng" to refer to them :o

Feral - adjective

1. existing in a natural, wild, or untamed state; not domesticated or cultivated.

2. having returned to an untamed state from domestication.

3. of or suggestive of a wild animal; savage: a feral grin.

There is no god. So stop worrying and enjoy your life.

I hope he is OK. Sounds like someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sounds more like someone INSISTING on being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
