My girlfriend and I are in the process of applying for a visitors visa to the U.K., we have completed everything however question 8.1 has me confused.

8.1 If you are not a national of the country in which you are applying, what permission do you have to stay in that country

Surely the reason for filling in the forms is to apply for permission to stay in that country. Sorry if it is a silly question but am I missing something here. (a brain maybe)

Thanks in advance Scully

I think it means, if you are residing in Thailand and applying for a UK tourist visa in Thailand, and are not a Thai passport holder, what visas etc do you have etc to enable you to stay in Thailand
