Netbooks Where To Check Prices Online

Featured Replies

I am currently freezing due to family commitments in the UK. Should be back home in LOS next week.

I am thinking of buying a netbook soon. Either the Acer 1series (£175 to £250) or better still the Samsung NC10. The Samsung is retailing at around £320 (about 16300Bht)

All my google searches have either drawn a blank or led me to believe that the prices are very similar in either country. Has anybody got any advice?

Some here > Shop4Thai and here Tohome. Probably a little more expensive then finding in a computer center.

//edit - also with the value of the pound having lowered they probably will be more expensive then in the UK.

Sorry to barge in, but do you guys know of any netbook that would be suitable to have as a media server?

Thanks

I think anything online might be less expensive. In the USA I buy from TigerDirect or Newegg but not sure about where they will ship or if duty tax would have to be paid in Thailand.

I was going to recommend Lenovo S10 because in the USA you can buy for $299 with free shipping but I see in Thailand it is almost 16,000 Baht.

Regards,

Martin

The Samsung is apparently not available in Thailand yet - my friend bought one in the UK the other day and said it was very good - so I called a friend who owns a shop and he says they're not here yet.

correct.

I was planning picking myself up a wee netbook in thailand last month - a few exchange rate sums quickly ended that idea.
