Fertilizer For Gardenias

Featured Replies

Is there a specific fertilizer for gardenias? Normally known as Miracid in U.S. I've asked around and gotten either "blank" looks (what's acidic??), or been told "anything with picture of flowers and veggies" on package will work :o

Thanks in advance.

Search gardenia care for more.

I haven't seen Miracid or camellia/rhododendron/azalea food in Thailand, but haven't searched for it. These are not common plants to grow here.

You may not need acid food if your soil has an existing pH of 6.5 or less.

Scotts quote Miracid as 30-10-10

I found some local stuff.. same NPK but, haven't a clue about the dosage in a 6 litre w/can or frequency of application.

Anyone know?

For Tabernaemontanas and gardenias, all in large terracotta pots.

cheers

Don't throw your coffee grounds in the trash. Put them around your azaleas. I have seen a lot of azaleas in Bangkok. Surprise with all this heat and rain. They don't like wet feet. Good luck.
