I need to have some guitar parts gold plated. Anyone know where to go, or who to call?

The normal advice is to not have a jeweler do it, usually because of wear and tear, proper surface preparation, and thickness of the plating, it's better to have done by a more specialized place.

Hi Buzzer. Did you ever find anywhere to plate? Anyone else know of anywhere in Thailand?

Some years ago I bought a ring for the wife, we were at MBK. The wife asked if they had the same in white gold (not my idea of gold, but thats not the point!), the assistant said come back in 20 mins, we did and there it was in white gold.....plated of course. Lacking any other advice, I would ask at any of the many jewellers at MBK, or anywhere else for that matter, they might either be able to get it done for you or at least point you in the right direction.

Yes and no, but still good friends!

If you need a professional plating service, PM me. Its a small Thai company that gets subcontracts from large Thai jewelry manufacturers. Very good work and service, but you'll need to either speak Thai or have someone who can.
