I have had the unfortunate experience of having My wife's and my passport stolen from her bag whilst driving the scooter in Koh Lanta. We both have work permits (which were stolen as well) and nearly new Non B multiple entry 1 year visas stuck in the stolen passports. Is it possible to get a renewal nonB in our newly issued replacement passports without leaving the country and paying for them? We got them issued in Kota Baru, Malaysia. WE are returning to Europe on Thursday for a 2 week vacation via KL, maybe I can get a replacement visa there for no extra charge if they have records of what the KB consulate have issued.

Sorry, but immigration will only replace your permission to stay stamp. Meaning you will have to get a new Non-B multiple from abroad and you will have to pay for them and submit all the papers again. Might be easier to get new ones in Europe, depending on the country you will be visiting.

I will be in the UK soon but not with the papers to get another Non B, Is there anything I can do. I got the original, now stolen, Non B in Kota Bharu, Malaysia. I entered back into Thailand in Songai Kolok where I got my 3 month entry stamp which was also stolen. Luckily I had a photocopy of this visa (not the Non :o which had non B written all over it. When I got my replacement passport I had a new visa stamped in and that also had Non Stamped all over it. Surely someone somewhere has a record of the stolen Non B visa number and can contact Kota Bharu for verification and then re-issue.

Am I jumping up the wrong Palm tree.

They do not re-issue as a rule - you would have to visit that Consulate and ask them. No other Consulate is going to do it I fear.
