Confused About Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am a US citizen and plan on staying in Thailand for about five or six weeks starting in mid April to the end of May. On my last visits I have only stayed for three weeks so never a problem. I will start in Bangkok for a few days, then on to Samui. My question is what is the procedure for staying this long? I thought a tourist visa is for 60 days, but it looks like that has changed. Can I get the visa in the States before i go?

Enlighten me.

Thanks

No problem. Apply for a Tourist Visa in US. This will give you 60 days entry. Within the final week of that stay go to Immigration and apply for a 30 days extension 1,900 Baht.

This is a common procedure and is done every day.

BTW Your Tourist Visa from the US. Consulate will be free of charge.
