About a month ago Hua Hin Immigration announced that they were closing shop and moving to Singkhon, T. Klongwan A. Muang in Prachupkirikhun Province (on the Thai Burma border), a good 3 hours drive from Hua Hin.

There area about 3,000 long term farangs in Hua Hin, mostly elderly, who require 90 day reporting. Imaginge the uproar in the area. Towards the end of last week, Immigration announced that they would be remaining in Hua Hin but at a new location.

The big question is .. did the authorities finally see reason or was it people power?

No harm in leaving it here. It has to do with visas, extensions, etc. after all. But I am closing it so that people seeing it her can click on the link given above and read the topic in the Hua Hin forum.

Thank you for having posted it here, bapak.
