Hi,

I'm worried about how my 15 years old Persian cat will adapt to the hot weather and humidity in Thailand.

Do you have experience moving long hair cats from warm/cold to hot locations?

cat's are tolerant of extreme temperatures, will just shed a lot of hair and you should trim her as well. The bigger problem with be for 15 year old cat to adapt to completely new environment, might take a few months

Are you planning to keep her inside or out?

If you keep her inside (or inside with access to go out when she wants) she'll be OK, just be attentive to her water dish as her water intake will increase and as londonthai said, be prepared for increased shedding.

I wouldn't try to keep a long haired cat outside all the time, especially not one 15 years old.

He's always been living inside the house and doesn't like much to be outdoors. This will be an advantage.

In this 15 years we've moved in 2 occasions and he adapted easily to the new home. Actually, he felt scared the last two days at the old house when all the forniture was removed and the house was empty, but when we arrived to the new home he was happy to smell and recognize everything again. But this time we will not carry the forniture.

I will try to stay with him at the house for as long as possible during the first days to make it easier.

Thank you for the comments :o
