Blocking the govt from working is actually illegal, if reds continue to do so they lose all their high moral ground and rules will change overnight.

Really?

It would have been nice if the PAD and their supporters would have held those views 9 months ago. Or do different rules apply to PAD?

Well considering the Samak and Somchai governments total focus at the time,

it was no doubt a toss up between tossers about which was 'more illegal' to do.

And which benefited the country more in the long term.

The lesser of two wevils.

Neither choice the preferred path.

but the preferred path obscured or blocked totally.

Of course this timing I refer to

is prior to grenades in the night and the airport.

If you don't give credit to Sae Dang for pushing PAD into the airport move,

then you didn't watch to closely back then. Another Thaksin miscalculation via proxy.

You don't know law. This Abhisit government is not government yet because they did not declare their policies at Parliament House as per the law. Every PM had declared their policies at Parliament House for 70 years. Law allows this protest and does not allow violence against the reds as long as we don't break into GH and we don't have weapons.

If you think it doesn't matter where they declare, what is the Parliament House for?

What do you think if PM says: 6 days later we will discuss this subject at Nana Hotel. Next week we will meet at AGoGo Bar?

On 7 October, PAD brought in weapons and self made bombs, cut power and water not letting Khun Somchai government declared his policies, shouted "kha mun kha mun (kill them) all the time. Police was right to clear this protest by tear gas and 60 Police were injured by PAD. When running, PAD's bombs dropped and exploded causing the death of Bo.

However, Khun Somchai still managed to declare his policies because the one-eyed Chai Chidchop said "must declare at Parliament House as per the law".

Now Chai is with Democrat and he said "not necessary to declare at PH".

Law for People Power Party needs to be obeyed, so PM Samak went down because of his cooking shows.

Why does someone think they don't need to follow the law?

Abhisit is gone for a week.

So what's the Red going to do now? Hang around doing nothing for a week? Don't forget that it cost 300 Baht/head/day (or what ever the amount is now).

What about sending the Red to Swampy to welcome Mark on his returns. Remember that's what the Yellow did to Somchai, causing AOT to hit the panic button and shut it down.

impressive picture, do you know what date it was?

It was on 26th March 2009.

There were less people in the red protest on 24, 25 and 26th last month.

I don't think there are that many people. It only seems half of radamnoen ave is packed. Behind the monument it looks to be flowing.

I've seen more people on RCA ave a few years ago. Now that was packed. Ahh the good old pre- purachai days...

Can this be a premonition? The Lord Buddha does not approve of the DAAD. Or maybe he is just sick of his followers' infighting.

As he thinks he is more powerful and does approve of DAAD, Thaksin will wave his magical elephant wand bestowed with supernatural powers and disperse the bad weather.

Well, to be perfectly honest, if I were getting hit by hail large enough to damage vehicles I would leave as well. Most people are smart enough to get inside and out of a bad storm :o

History has proved through centuries that people's power will win Army's and noble power. When majority of Thais, police and soldiers at low level are with us, we have the biggest supports. Thailand is not a place for some rich and Army at top level, who are a small percentage, to decide who should be Prime Minister.

Very dangerous. Thailand is walking a very fine line. It didn't work with the Chinese in Tiananmen or with Burma. Unlike the French revolution the majority of the Thai people and loyal soldiers still have great respect for the current aristocracy. Not can be said of the Thai police though.

This is a soldier who talked on red stage half an hour ago:

Speaking of soldiers on the Red Stage, how'd this lunatic's speech go yesterday?

In the meantime, Army Advisor Major-General Kattiya Sawasdipol is scheduled to speak on the primary stage at the protest this afternoon.

I heard from the red stage via DStation that there were three 6-wheel trucks from Udon Thani carrying 800 rice bags and some foods to the red protest at Bangkok. Two have arrived.

After the news yesterday morning that violence might be used to the reds, within 3 hours, tens of thousands of reds rushed to the main stage and the back door where Abhisit and Suthep might use to enter GH, and people started to donate the whole day. Some gave 100 Baht, some 500 Baht, 1,000 Baht, some 10,000 Baht, some 100,000 Baht, foods, water, gas, hats, fruits... Wives of policemen and soldiers donate everyday.

The reds have Truth Today bottled water and energy drink to sell. They have a bank account receiving fund to support transportation for rural people travelling to Bangkok. In last month's 3 day protest, the reds got 370,000 Baht per day from donation and spent 300,000 Baht per day. This shows that we can stay and feed ourselves until Abhisit and those behind his back are down. Many police and soldiers eat rice with the reds since 26th March. 2,000 volunteered red guards have no weapon and not covering faces. They are not there to kill people. The reds don't have to pay the guards too.

No problem if people think we are paid by Khun Thaksin. He is rich and some people are jealous. He sits where they want to sit. He doesn't please the noble people. He devoted himself to improve poor people's lives and did not know that people planned to knock him before 2549.

Rain? Heat? Majority of reds are farmers and sellers who are familiar with these. For foods and drinks, one person can survive with 60 baht a day and sleep on the floor. We know the sufficiency economy since we were born, not needing Abhisit government to teach us. They just stop setting big budget for Army, ministries where PAD are in charge (Foreign Ministry is one) and coalition parties and they are good at sufficiency economy.

Sounds like a joke they will spend 1 billion Baht to run that sufficiency economy project

Sufficiency should start from themselves.

but of course... where would things be without Thaksin and his marketing department... :o

Are they trying to get rid of the last stocks of this drink that flopped?

Thaksin: genie in a bottle?

Thaksin … Fight! is the latest energy drink on the market. Sun Spark Beverage's general manager Nachpoan Supatana tells Sunday Xpress why they've named it that.

Why did you call it Thaksin … Fight!?

We've visited many shops in the North and the Northeast over the past two months. They say the slowdown in trade has them wondering when Thaksin Shinawatra will come back, and that made us wonder why we didn't launch a product to tap the grass roots, such as taxi-drivers, labourers and farmers.

They're our main target group. I certainly think that sort of person would go for it more than Mark 9, the nickname of Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, or PM Samak Sundaravej.

It had to be something political, did it?

Oh yes! We did have alternatives, such as Udon or Payap Isaan. We thought about having several brands, but decided it would cause too much confusion. Normally we'd avoid politics, but we are marketers, not politicians. It is a marketing gimmick, certainly, but if Thai Rak Thai could be successful by using marketing *gimmicks* in politics, why shouldn't we by using politics in marketing?

Will Thaksin's return benefit your product?

I'll say! The whole point of marketing is how to tap the target groups in as short a time as possible. We think we've done it there: when he returns our brand will be in the public eye.

What sort of feedback have you had?

They love it in the North and the Northeast. We were surprised at it going down so well in Bangkok, though, with it being such a strong base of the Democrats.

I'll admit it's tough going in the South, though we have tried to tell them the drink has nothing to do with politics. *A direct lie as per his above comments.* We do have to sell it in the South, because a lot of Isaan people work there, and I think they'd buy it; the difficulty is getting people to stock it and distribute it there.

What sort of sales are you looking at?

We aim for 3 per cent to 5 per cent of the energy-drink market with a value of 1.4 Billion Baht. We think Thaksin ... Fight! can survive the competition. We'll advertise it on television as a drink that will help develop the country.

It is such ironic, poetic justice,

that they are selling sugar water with their snake oil.

In most case I do not quite agree with Koo. However I must agree with him that the Red gurads do not have obvious wespons (I don't know if any is hidden) and do not cover their face.

This is unlike the guards of the Yellow, who mostly cover their face, and openly handle weapons such as golf clubs, base ball bats etc. Unless you are telling me that they are playing balls.
