Thai Visa And Around The World Trip

Featured Replies

hello all

i am heading off around the world at the begining of march, going to various countries before i reach thailand.im not sure when im actually gonna arrive in thailand(probably between 3-6 months after departure).

i am a UK citizien, which visa will i need if i want to stay around 2 months.

any info would be great :o

A single entry tourist visa allows a stay of 60 days and can normally be extended for another 30 days without leaving the country.

If you plan to enter from an adjoining country you may only need 30 day stay stamps and cross out/in for another but if you plan the full 60 days inside Thailand it would be better to get a tourist visa a little before you plan to come here and not have to worry about timing a trip out or an airline not letting you fly here without a visa.

You can apply for a tourist visa in any country Wylos. All major Aussie cities have Thai Consulates.

will the process be the same as if i were in the uk?

You will probably have to pay in the local currency and the form may have slightly different questions than the UK version but other than that just about the same.
