Hello!

Hoping to find a source in Thai for the individual amino acids Tryptophan, and/or Tyrosine, and/or Taurine, 250-500 MG per capsule, 30 - 100 caps per bottle. I'd prefer to buy local, if it's of good quality, and avoid the international shipping costs (as well as the week long sit in the sun as it awaits customs inspection). As popular is these are in so many other countries for their mood and well being properties, I'd have to believe there was some place in Thai to purchase them.

Thanks!

I thought they went out of fashion about 20 years ago? :o

Actually, just with the masses. They might have had the perception of a hot period and a subsequent cooling, yet their value remains, so, so do they.

Tryptophan on the other hand was blackballed as a preventative measure when several people ended up dead or in comas or worse. There were only a few suppliers of this free form amino and one had adopted a shoddy process for culturing and extracting the product. Quality suffered at the hands of profit (imagine that) and contaminants wrecked havoc with those that used the infected supplements, and government bureaucracy did what it does best, panic, flail, and politic. Using this opportunity to try and remove all non-prescription Amino's, ostensibly because of Big Pharma, in the end only Tryptophan's availability suffered even after the problem was solved. Well, after the culprit was discovered, and the medical community and health fans had had enough, the recall and over regulation ended (coincidentally all this occurred around the time of Prozac's entry into the market), and the product has been available since the late 90's and back in the open market since 2007.

You were right in a way though, health is out of fashion with most.

In any event, I sponsor a family in Thai, and before one of them goes on anti-depressants, I'm hoping to help them more naturally with Tryptophan, Tyrosine, and Taurine. Any help would be appreciated.
