Requesting Name Of Pain Doctor In Bangkok

Featured Replies

FYI, I have a complicated medical history I won't go into here (over 15 ortho surgeries) resulting in chronic pain. Before I get information on other types of possible treatment thank you-but I have been through everything before-accupuncture, chiro can't touch me-have spinal fusion-have had more spine injections, pain procedures, Radio frequency neuroablation etc than I care to think of. I also do not have insurance from my job yet so I am not interested in running up bills to try more procedures.

After much trial and more errors, the only medication that worked was the fentanyl patch. On my own (only because of severe constipation), I have decreased over the years to the lowest level, I still have significant pain but just deal with it because with the patch I was able to get my life back and work after many years. It does not effect me as it does many people- I put a patch on every 3 days and forget it is there. I have taken many difficult work related certification tests and scored in the top. Unless I tell someone it would never be apparent I was using this drug.

I have moved to Thailand to work and am running short on the supplies I brought with me. I need to get a referral to a pain Dr. here as you can obviously not buy this OTC and must buy at a hospital pharmacy. I have heard Siriraj and Bangkok hospital pain clinics mentioned.

What I am hoping for is someone having personal experience with a Pain Dr. at one of these or another pain clinic in Bangkok. If you know someone who goes to a particular doctor that would be OK also. You can PM if you don't want to go public with your experience. Thank you.
