The speedtest.net test will test from a server within Thailand, so you get a low ping time (fast response), high download and upload speeds indicating you have a 3Mbps/512 kbps connection, as you get about 90% of rated speed which is normal for ADSL.

Thaivisa is located in Singapore and hence is international.

The test indicates you're on a cheap "home" package, where the international capacity is highly shared.

So you get a high "ping" time indicating that your requests are queued, along with speeds around 30% of rated!

Veto! It is important to know which location/server was involved.

If you ping/test the server Penang on Speedtest.net even with 16mb you will get the most crappy results ever...

So IMHO to know the server involved is an important part of any kind of "testing" and "debugging".
