JetsetBkk
Dr Prasert Thepalong, Phuket Dental Centre: 076 255336 Highly recommended by others for normal dental work, he was honest enough to tell me that he couldn't whiten my crowns, so they would look grey against my real teeth if I had the real ones whitened. He also said if I wanted to replace the crowns - maybe in 5 years or so - he could make the new crowns whiter and then whiten the surrounding teeth. He has one clinic in Phuket town next door to Bangkok Phuket Hospital and a new one near the junction of Sai Yuan and the road that goes north to Kata and south to Nai Harn. His clinic about 50 yards along the road to Kata, on the left. I had my teeth cleaned there. I was expecting more work than that but he said my oral hygiene was very good and he spent the next 45 minutes cleaning off the tartar that had built up over the previous 6 or 7 years! He's got lovely dimples. So does his 5 year old daughter.

Even my ex and my family members come from Australia for their dental work. He is at his Nai Harn clinic on Monday and Wed. afternoons telephone 076 388-899. Please phone as appointments are necessary. For the record he's a keen paraglider pilot as well and his brother is an excellent E.N.&T. specialist in Phuket town. Hello, my dentist told me that the best method is the "zoom" teeth whitening ( state of the art). It tales about an hour and your teeth look great when its all done.. Got mine done about 8 months ago using this zoom, and they are still a much whiter colour. My girlfriend and I paid 12.000 baht each to get this done, and if you keep off the coffee/coke/ nasty coloured foods then it lasts for years and years. Alas it took me 2 weeks before i was on the coke and coffee . HOWEWER! Be aware this method is very uncomfortable and you get shooting "zinger" pains in your teeth for about 6-12 hours after treatment! The pain isnt so bad about 5/10 its just uncomfy.. chok dee krap Edited August 7, 2009 by chuppachops
