Hi.

In the next couple of days I'll be going to Koh Chang for a couple of weeks holiday and my 90-day reporting due date falls smack in the middle of this break. I plan to do this report at the nearest Thai Immigration Office to Koh Chang -- Laem Ngob Immigration.

Can anyone confirm that they've actually done a 90-day report there before? I don't want to get to this office and find out that they don't accept 90-day reporting and consequently when I return to BKK, be shouldered with a 2000 baht fine for late reporting.

Cheers.

You can do your report 7 days early (or late). It sounds like you might be able to do that.

Or have somebody turn in your report for you.

They certainly do. You'll be out in <5 minutes. I renewed my retirement visa in less than 30 minutes and they even did all the copying of documents for free.

You are supposed to use your designated office for reporting. As said you can do early or you can always do it by mail.

This is one of the problems with the new rule.

I don't think the Laem Ngop Immigration guys really care about that requirement, but I could be wrong.

It's the most laid-back (yet efficient) immigration office in Thailand.

That's my opinion, anyway...

Sounds like the one I use.

My reports take about 3 minutes. The last one took a little longer because the wife was haveing a chat with one of the officers so I had to wait a bit.

Yes, you're right, but I'm wheelchair bound, i.e., I've no legs, one arm, blind in one eye and partially blind in the other and I'm deaf, so I have an exemption which was granted by Suan Phlu MoI. It's really difficult to have to reply to these pedantic statemants using a braille keyboard too. :o

Up to you but if they do not accept your report don't say that you were not warned.

Post it. No problem.

No worries pal. If I see you on the Rock I'll introduce myself and we'll have a drink together.

is that right? you can do early or you can always do it by mail? i just mailed my 90 days reporting to Leam Ngob and they rtnd it to me as it is. They didn't accept my mail for 90 days reporting. so then i called them and asked, they said i should personally bring my form for 90 days reporting together with my passport. Whew....Laem Ngob is about 2hrs away from where i live now. So i just thought that 90 days reporting should be personally submitted to immigration.

Cheers!

They are supposed to accept reports by mail. A couple do not. Either they are one of these or you sent incomplete documentation.
