May 8, 200916 yr Hi all, I have a friend in the UK who has a son intent on cooking for a career. He has studied in a number of UK and international resturants and would like to do the same here. I am looking for a place for him to work and learn and not one of the many "Thai cooking course" designed for tourists. Any help much apreciated alan t
May 8, 200916 yr Sorry to be negative, but if the person concerned is non-Thai, won't a work permit be required? If that's the case, I think you should also be checking whether that role is even eligible for a work permit.
May 10, 200916 yr Author Thanks Steve2UK Sorry for late response (birthday alcohol etc) I think my friends have looked into the visa thing. cheers alan t
May 10, 200916 yr Maybe he should try to learn online. There are loads of Thai cooking sites. You don't need to have someone show you how to stir some milk or chop a tomato. My wife has a really simple, (and free), cooking site. She will even do requests if your friends son wants to cook anything in-particular. Nidge.
