Sick Cat

Featured Replies

One of the cats have developed a problem.

For two weeks now he's been eating very little and slept most time.

Now he's up and walking again but has problems with the back legs.

Locks like he's drunk or has mad cow disease.

He doesn't have any pain and nothing is broken.

Help appreciated.

Could not download the movie but:

Has the cat ingested poison?

Has the cat been in an accident?

Poisoning

Shock

Disease or injury to the nervous system

Middle ear disease

Muscular disease

In any event take cat to the vet today there is nothing you can do until the problem has been identified.

I bet I can guess the name of the cat without looking at the vid.

One of my cats walked like this once after the vet gave her Valium in order to relax her (Cat had problems with nervous system), but had the opposite effect, she was like drunk and walking like your cat.

Better take him to the vet.

i couldnt down load the video either

but sounds very similar to what happen to my cat many many years ago, she had cancer..

best bet is to take it to the Vet ASAP opposite the post office......

good luck

How old is the cat? I've only seen mine walk like that coming of anestesia afer an operation...indeed, always if in doubt, scoot over to the vet! Cheap in Thailand. Just ha a tom spayed for 420 Baht. Same unsteady gait for afew hours...

Yes, it does sound bad. Is the cat foaming at the mouth or convulsing? If so, then that is really really bad, if its an unsteady gait alone then it could be some kind of nerve damage that you can't see. I'd take her to the vet asap.

My cat did that about ten hours before she died. But then she was ok for a while, so i didn't worry. Maybe if i had she would still be here...

Please take him to the vet.

reason for edit - thought he was a she

The vet said tissue inside eye.

I think she means eye infection.

Got some vitamins, antibiotic and eye drops.

It's not my cat but the neighbors.

I call him Mr. Dam

The other ones (also neighbors) are Mr Blue, Mr Purple, Mr Green, Mama, and kitten no1, no2, and no3.

And then there's Mr yellow a feral cat that comes and eats, I'm the only that he allows to pet him.
