Could anyone tell me where to find ordinary milk powder. Preferably low fat.

I've tried the usual suspects like carrefour, lotus, macro.

They only have baby/child milk or adult stuff with extra calcium & vitamins a-z (& ridiculous prices).

Thanks

I have seen it at the Rimping on the river. I don't know about lowfat though.

I have previously found it at Rimping (Nawarat), Kasem Store, Lotus Kamtieng.

But haven't bought any in quite a while so info might be out of date.

PS I only buy it when going through one of my yoghurt making phases.

Thanks for the tips.

I've found directions for Kasem in the Wororot area.

Is the Nawarat Rimping anywhere near The Dukes ?

Any directions for Yok, their website seems to be all Thai.

I'll check them out next time I'm in town.

Rimping Nawarat approx 100m south of Dukes (on the Ping River road)

Sawasdee Khrup, Khun Pond Life,

Since you haven't gotten a definite answer to your specific request (for low-fat milk powder), I'll chime in here with a few comments which I hope you'll ignore if they are not useful in any way, or related to the specific use you have in mind (baking ?).

If your goal is protein supplementation, and you want low-fat : Abbot Labs makes a good quality lactose-free powder (soy based of course); you'll find it with the other "baby powder" mixes in Carrefour, Kasem, Tesco, etc. Price is high, around 600 baht last time I looked, for a 900 gram container. That was my supplement of choice (although I am not lactose intolerant) until my budget demanded I switch to the the lower cost milk based supplements.

If you study the labels on some of the other "baby powdered supplements" you'll find some of them are based on skimmed milk, but almost all of them have a huge amount of maltodextrin, almost all have sugar at levels that, to me, are high.

Hope someone does come up with a specific place you can buy low-fat milk powder at a reasonable price, because I'd like to purchase also !

best, ~o:37;
