i have a few questions that i hope someone can answer for me please.

i am due to make reapplication ,i have had 1 yr extension of non-o ,but this is my first time to do it again after the first year.

i have the required amount of money in a thai bank account for more than 2 months,,i thought i read somewhere that i need to have a letter from the banks manager dated the same day as application,or is a computer printout from the bank on the date suffice? i think it would be difficult to see my local branch manager and make it to immigration in time to have any chance of getting processed that day.

can application be made at one stop visa services in bkk?,,or is it soi suan plu only?

do i need to do the photos around the house etc again also?,and the passport photos?map to the house etc.?

is this extension-extension proceedure any faster than the original application on the day,and does it get consideration for one month then require me to go again to get the result?

any information is gratefully received.

thanks,,,,dave.

It will be exactly the same as last year. They may not need everything but take it just in case.

The letter from the bank can be a day or 2 old. Also you will need an updated bank book showing the same balance as the letter.

You are applying for a 12 month extension of your permission to stay not a Non O Visa. That expired years ago.

Yes you will be given 30 days and have to go back.

Even though the rule is 2 months in the bank some offices are insisting on 3 months.

thanks for ur fast reply, but i hope for a little more clarification.

does it have to be a letter from the manager of the branch,or just an official bank letter?

can the bank book update be the same date as the letter,,or needs to be the date of application?

do u know if i can do this application at one stop visa service closer to my home than the main immigration office?

thanks,,,,dave

It does not have to be from the bank manager. The bank book will be updated at the same time that you get the letter. There have been reports that Bangkok immigration want the letter dated the same date that the application is done. You can try with one done the day before but you will need to have the bank book updated for the same day you do the application.

You cannot use the one stop office for an extension. It is only for those working for companies wtih BOI privledges.

My experience last month at Immo (Suan Plu) was that they accepted the bank letter dated from the day before. The passbook was also up-dated from the previous day. This was for an extension based on retirement.
