Hotel In Kl Near Thai Embassy

I must leave for KL on Tuesday by Air Asia. Will arrive and take the 8 Ringgit bus in to town arriving very late in the afternoon or early evening. If there is anyone who has recently come back from a visa run to KL, please recommend a hotel near the Thai Embassy in the middle to low range. I am unable to book a hotel in advance because my US credit card expired and has not been replaced.

Is it relatively easy to find a hotel with a vacant room for 3 nights?

Please help with some ideas.
