Just an interesting point.

In all my life there have only been 3 Popes.

My eldest Son was born on 15th July 1978. By the time he was 3 months old there had been three Popes!

Funny old world

I remember reading somewhere that said Cardinal Sicola wasn't considered for 'popedom' in the late 70's because of his name.

Because he would've been called..... Pope Sicola. :o

I wonder if Pepsi would have become the world's number one seller if that had happened, the Marketing would have been wonderful.

Does anybody remember their marketing campaign in the 80's

Come Alive, Come alive,

your in Popesicola generation!!!

Would have been brilliant.

Best advert EVER (and I made my money in advertising was when a Double Decker Bus fell into a crater in a road in Norwich. It made all the TV News programmes.

In all the tabloids the following day was a full page advert of said bus in said hole with the caption

"Nothing Fills A Hole Like A Double Decker"

I dont know if Double decker's were ever sold outside of the UK ?

But FANTASTIC use of fate to promote a product

Just an interesting point.
