Microsoft Translator Gets Any-to-Any Translations and Language Autodetect

Microsoft introduces major changes to the new Translator. Now Microsoft Translator is able to translate from any to any languages. “It is now possible to translate from any of our languages to any other language. Spanish to Chinese? Arabic to German? Check,” an MT representative said.

One of the new feature is that the new translator is detecting the language of an text even if you don't know what language it is. That could helps a lot for a fast translation and understanding of an source text which you otherwise wouldn't able to understand.

But you should keep in mind that any translation done by an non-human translator will be incorrect in some or many ways. A software translator will not and never replace a human translator in the near or longer future.

To access the Microsoft Translator just go to: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/Default.aspx

Have fun and good luck.

The meaning of the word "any" seems to be flexible..

But still it's a fun gadget.

Have fun and good luck.

It is late in the evening and so I tried the German:

Ich bin muede.

The result in English at M$:

I am muede.

What a scrap!!!

Should be:

I am tired.

First very simple test and completely failed!!! :)
