In regard to the Cambodian airlines:  I flew President Airlines from Phnom Phen-Siem Reap-Battambang-Phnom Phen.  The legs from PPto Battamabang was on the most uncomfortable plane I have been on.  I lived in mainland China for a year 15 years ago and flew on some crates there and this ranks with them.

The flight back to PP was on an acceptable plane.  So maybe it is a crap shoot as to the plane.  This was in July last summer.
