Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I was reading back over some old posts, yesterday was my 18th year anniversary in the forum so I was reflecting on if/how the discussions and issues have changed,,,,they haven't! Back in 2017, posters were talking about getting a tax ID, some afraid to do so for fear of being taxed, not being issued one by the local TRD office, whether inbound remittances were taxable.....fast forward, same issues, same questions! Another thread with a post from an old but now dearly departed friend, Nancy Lindley, who said that the TRD was auditing all expats requests for tax refunds that year. Nancy was a prominent figure in the Chiang Mai expat scene and chair of the Chiang Mai expat club. "It does appear that they're "auditing" any and all refund requests from foreigners this year. Wasn't the case in previous years. I wonder how many just decide to abandon their claim?" Interesting to look back at those discussions to see the difference between then and now...same old, same old. -

Toe nail fungus early stage?
Try tea tree oil. Apply it daily, or better still twice daily. It can take several weeks or more to see improvement but it does work. -

Local YouTube channel “LIVEREAL” broadcasted a live stream covering the flood situation for over three hours, capturing the swift inundation across the city. Between midnight and 01:00, floodwaters began overflowing into downtown areas at an alarming pace, with Chang Klan Road, the Night Bazaar, and Wat Uppakut quickly submerged. IMO Xi has been looking at the USA's record of fomenting wars all over the place, and has decided China better be strong enough to deter the US from even trying it on. Only from a position of strength is China safe. Perhaps if Biden wasn't sending all the ammunition and weapons to israel the US would have enough. -

Why aren't bus seats made from flame retardant material?
💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲 The bus a 1971 model, it had an engine replaced and illegally installed gas cylinders. I reckon the bus owner was not interested in forking out money for seats made of flame retardant material. These bus owners spend money on the BLING, not safety. -

I think when it comes to Aviation they know that they have to keep themselves up to International standards or the governing bodies will shut the country down. They're so dependent on tourism dollars that they would never want that to happen, but when it comes to something like traffic safety, especially if it were a road course as opposed to an enclosed course like they have in Buriram, that would have to be a huge concern. So I guess the answer is yes and no, all depending on the area we're discussing. In general the safety standards are very lax, most would agree with that.
