I now got choice of Married visa have all cash and dcs cost 5700

or when in UK next month get 15 months from Hull? quoted 106 pounds

The second has option to leave any number of times in first 12 months.

Is there any advantage on Married one which is only 12 months approx same price

Did wonder if wise to get locked in married mans in case price requirements hike?

If wishing to convert later to married will they need UK Dr and police stuff as I can do whe there easier than from here

Thanks in anticipation each immi guy I speak to here has a different view

The difference is that an extension of stay is more convinient, as you don't have to leave the country every 90 days. Another point is that often the rules under which you applied for an extension will be grandfathered if the rules change.

A disadvantage is that when the marriage ends (divorce or death) your pemission to stay ends and you have to leave. A multi entry non-O would stay valid in that case.

There is no need for a health certificate or police clearence for an extension of stay based o marriage.

If you don't mind making border runs every 90 days a multiple entry visa is ok.

An extension of stay only costs 1900 baht. Plus at the most 50 baht for copies. I don't knopw how you came up with 5700 baht.

If you get the marriage extension now and they raised the requirements you would most likely be grandfathered at the lower amount.

You can switch between marriage and retirement and vice versa at any time if you want.

You don't need the medical or police check for any extension of stay.

It would not be the same as working because nobody would notify immigration so you would have time to sort things out. You always have the back up of switching to retirement if it was to happen.

It would affect those under 50 more than those over fifty unless they had children. Then they could switch to one for having a child.

I used to take the Multi O route for several years as I was travelling a lot on business.

Basically it is swings and roundabouts.
