Just seen so many farangs talking about being stopped and complaining about cops putting their hands in pockets to search for things......... Was watching Cops ( bad boys, bad boys, what ya gonna do.......etc ) from good old USA, and another programme from UK.

Quite clearly, cops do same thing there ( just less probability of them planting something ).........

Stop and Search has been going on for years in the UK. I was stopped a few times and nothing ever planted on me. A few questions about where I was headed and on my way.

There may be a few rogue cops who will plant something but you cannot compare police in the UK with the BiB.

In 15 years in Thailand, never happend once...but if, i guess would ask to see open hands on both sides first before allowing....... if not, they can take me to the cop shop, and we will do it there.

In US, cops can only search 1) with consent 2) upon arrest 3) with a warrant.

Not so. They can search BEFORE arrest, if they deem to have "probable cause" ie, suspicion of illegality. They arrest can come later, after (or if) they find the incriminating evidance. There is quite a bit of variation as to what various courts have allowed from one jurisdiction to another, as most U.S. law is by state.
