I am leaving for Germany tonight. I thought it might be a good chance to get a new Non Immigrant Visa as mine will expire in September and I do like to have a VISA more then dealing with an extension and reentry permit.

Did anyone try the consulates in Essen or Frankfurt ? I would like to get another Non Immigrant 'O' ( married to Thai ) one year, multiple entries. Which I always got in Los Angeles with no problems ( me beeing German ). I know Stuttgart is easy, but they only mention post in applications on their website. And its quite a 5 hrs drive from where I will be. Since I am just there for a week, this isnt enough time. Tried to call them already but only VM at all times.

Any experiences in Essen oder Frankfurt ?

@mod: Can you change the titel to: Non Immigrant Visa in Essen or FF/M Germany ?

You should contact them. Since you are married to a Thai it should not be a problem but you never know with the official consulates.

I put the additional info in the desciption area. Changing titles can goof up the search index function.

Update !

Just returned from the honorary consulate in Essen. This was one of my fastest VISAs I have ever got. In-n-out in only 8 minutes with a brand new Non Immigrant O , one Year, multiple entries.

Required Docs:

  • Passport
  • Application form
  • 1 Passport
  • Marriage Certificate
  • 120 Euros

Nothing else !

The Visa was stamped without any questions within 5 minutes. Excellent Job at the Honorary Consulate in Essen, Germany ! Much better then dealing with Extensions of stay here inside Thailand.
