Shipping Containers

I am looking for information about 40' ex-shipping containers which many of you may have seen on building sites etc. I want to use a few of them for sheds on some land I have.

Where do I find someone selling such things in Thailand? I have searched the yellow pages (and here on Thaivisa) and have not seen them listed.

Also does anyone have an idea of the costs ex-suppliers yards for these units?

I just had a call from a friend of mine who said there was somebody doing this in Lam Chabang (sp) on the Comburi / Pattaya by-pass so will go for a drive next week and look for them.

The Ocean freight shipping companies will point you in the right direction - there will always be containers you can purchase and have delivered - if they come on regular container trucks you will require some lifting gear. Clearly if they are in good condition you will have to pay the asking price for containers bought and shipped overseas...only you would not be shipping.
