Hospital In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi all, I recently broke my leg, and had the surgery done in Khon Kaen.

I'm back in Bangkok now. I bumped my leg yesterday and want to know of a good hospital that has a bone specialist and x-ray. And also the costs of having an x-ray done and the doctor look at it.

Has anyone user Rama 9 hospital? It's pretty close to where I live.

Thanks.

There's also Bangkok General Hospital in that vicinity:

My wife spent some time in Rama 9 when she had TB. Service seemed very good. Only problem was the hospital quoted one price (in Thai and English) and actually charged four times as much. A colleague at work claims it did the same thing to them. If you're fully insured, go to Rama 9, if not I've had good treatment at Petcharavej and Kluaynamthai hospitals.

It's the drugs they always seem to scew you with, most aren't even required. Then your charged 3x what you'd pay at a pharmacy for them...

Last time I was there I had some chest pains and it turned out I'd pulled some muscles between my rib's when excercising, went to the hospital to be on the safe side though...

2x consultations with the doctor & a chest X-ray came to less than 1000 baht.. And the drug's (some crap for severe arthritis) which probably weren't even required 1'400 baht :)

This was at the place on Soi Convent, Sathorn/Silom road....

Myself and several of my friends have been to Bumrungrad.

Near Phloen Chit BTS

I believe they can help you with the x-rays.

Not the cheapest place in town. :)

The care I have witnessed has always been first class :D

Try Paolo hospital, a few of them around. One is basically next to Saphan Kwai BTS. Been there a few times and while good, is much cheaper.

Another clasic example of why good quality health insurance is essential in this country.

Especially when one is living on a shoe string.

if you want good service with doctors who speak good english, try samitivej. i always go to the one at srinakarin. currently i'm going for check ups every 2 weeks (every time 2 xrays) and speaking with the specialist surgeon and i pay 2000 baht. i ask for a prescription for any medicine he thinks i should take.

get the xray but as mentioned do not by the drugs at the hospice

I've had knee surgery at Phyathai 2, and was very satisfied.
