I have a friend who has enquired about the possibility of obtaining one of these International/UN "Special Licences" ? I already have one of these, obtained some yrs ago, but understand that many of the "Issuers" have now stopped providing this service ! This is not for use in Thailand , but overseas only, for emergencies ! Can anyone assist , perhaps Khao San Rd is still doing this ? Any Thoughts ? Just imagine one of the guys in brown, inspeting such a licence and requesting in addition your UN-ID? And btw, usually, you drive a blue licence plate, that comes with your being a UN-member.
