Just back from Immigration. In at 10:55am, out at 11:11am. That included strolling next door to get two additional passport pages copied.

- Don't trust the kid w/ the copier. He thinks he knows which pages to copy but he does not. Same guy messed me up last year.

- Per Jomtien policy, I have to go back tomorrow to pick up my passport, so I did not get the re-entry permit today.

I'm so happy to be living down here. Compared to Suan Phlu, Jomtien Immigration is a breeze. My compliments to them.

Suan Phlu only takes about 10 minutes once you get through the queue and you do not have to make a second trip so I would not consider it very hard.

My time of 16 minutes included the time in queue. My in-the-door/out-the-door experiences at Suan Phlu ranged from a minimum of two hours to a maximum of 4 hours.

Lopburi, I agree with your comment about only one visit, but a 4 hour drive, then a 3-4 hour queue time and another 4 hour drive back, all for 10 minutes makes it a very long day!!

Thank god I now go to Mae Sot!!! :):D

Is that a personal experience, or a rumor?

No rumour, you have a living proof here.....however they have been left with a dry mouth :)

i never been asked for anything, by anyone at Jomtien and have always given a receipt for payments related to visa business without asking

i have been charged 200baht for same day service on a residence certificate but no receipt was given

i have found them very easy, very professional and quick to deal with

however as always, i am sure others will have other less favourable stories to impart...........
