The connection of menstrual blood with bad luck or misfortune is prevelant in many societies - and surely not difficult to understand?

Far from being the "beginning of life" it represents the end of all possible - new - life in that cycle.

But the fact that it was there in the first place ready to produce the 'miracle' of new life, still should give it some value I think!
