Sweety and I will be married for 25 years in a couple of weeks.

I'm preparing the honeymoon without her knowledge, and we would like to visit Thailand.

The first step of our voyage will be Ko Samui.

I cannot make up my mind when it comes to selecting "THE" hotel.

I would like to stay away from the active nightlive locations like Chaweng and Lamai.

A nice, clean beach is much appreciated, with a low risk of beeing tackeled by vendors or

ladies offering a variety of services.....

Is this still possible on the Island ?

I cannot afford a disaster, as this first trip outside of Europe needs to be remembered for a very

long time in a positive way :-)

I'm not tempted by 1000Bath hotels, and super delux cottages at 15000Bath are out of my league.....

Are there romantic souls out there that know their way around, and who are willing to give me some

advise and/or tips (even nearby top Thai restaurants are on my "to-be-found" list.

A desperate amateur travel agent.

Well there's always the bophut area. You will have plenty of choices along the main road in bophut everything from

Samui Palm Beach Hotel

Lawana Resort

Peace Resort

Ibis Hotel

Bophut Resort & Villa

Bandara Resort

Anantara Hotel & Spa

check out those hotels plus try asiarooms.com I've used the website many times around asia for traveling. As far as eating there are many choices in fishermans village which you can easily get to by walking along the beach to.

Zazen will be very nice, not to big and very nice people on a beautiful beach, just a little walk to Fishermans Village

Not forgetting great dining also.

Definately try out Koh Phangan. My idea would be Bottle Beach or Tong Nai Pan. There's no problem with your budget either.

Hope you enjoy your trip
