Jet Airways announces increased service, discount fare

Jet Airways, India’s third largest airline, will add a second daily flight from London to Bangkok via its hub in Mumbai commencing August 16.

The new flight will depart Mumbai at 1305, arriving into Bangkok at 1855, with the return leg leaving Bangkok at 2055 and land in Mumbai at 2340.

Jet Airways began operations as an air taxi operator on April 1, 1992, before commencing commercial operations on May 5, 1993 with a fleet of four leased Boeing 737-300 aircraft. It’s fleet today comprises 71 Boeing and Airbus jet aircraft and 14 turbo-prop.

The new service will join the carrier’s existing daily flight to Bangkok, which departs Mumbai at 0110 and returns from Bangkok at 0840, enabling UK passengers to connect in Mumbai from London with a turnaround of around two hours.

To celebrate the new service Jet is offering economy class return fares from London to Bangkok for £384 (about Bt31.900).

I think 384 pounds does not equate to 31,900baht.

384 pounds = about 22000 baht

Just checked with netflights and this offer is even available with a 6 month time span. Only downside being you CANNOT change your return date.

Wow, some bargain, I have just looked for flights from BKK to LHR, in January, and was offered an economy special deal at 41,555 Baht - guess I will keep looking.

31,900 Baht is £600 almost..we used to call it 'Rip off Britain'...nice to see the tables turned for a change
