Air Asia Sale

Featured Replies

No problems with their Website at this location. Have benefited handsomely with nearly all of their sales and have been travelling with them for as many years as they have been around.

Most of the time I'm on "Dial-Up" Internet and have completed each and every booking with no fuss at all, thus no mistakes.

No problem getting around all parts of their site, I'm a member and can access all transactions I want to look at at any time.

So did anyone get a bargain. I have been tracking Air Aisia prices for several weeks because I booked a flight CNX to BKK on the wrong day in March 2010. Nothing has changed. I have visa run to Penang in late January. Present prices are more expensive than when I booked them earlier. Just a "CON" to me. To change my tickets they want more than I paid in the first place & they are charging me again for my baggage & Airport Taxes. Not bad eh!! :)
On your marks colleagues:

Air Asia has announced a big sale starting midnight Sunday night/Monday morrning. Doesn't say whether that's Thai or Malay time. 3 million seats available "even better than free seats". Sounds interesting.

3 million seats 'even better than free seats..what a letdown..

3 million seats at promotion rates available from 11 Jan to 31 JUL...that is 202 days..that is 14851 seats available per day...

Total 88 sectors are applicable...therefore 168 seats are up for grab per sector per day...

I don't think there is a problem getting one's seat....

Do you or don't you beleive this promotion is true..... :D

Just got two BKK HK returns next May when I will do a visa run for a tad under 5k bht including checked baggage which I am very happy with

These sales are brilliant value for visa runs - the gamble element of booking 10 months in the future is a bit less as you know pretty exactly when you will need to get out for a new visa.

Example: CNX-KUL round trip next June, 1555Bt. A night in the Tune Hotel at the LCCT 5 Ringgitt. Less than 2000Bt all in. Unbeatable.

The Air Asia return fares to KL are nearly always around £550 although you can fly from several different UK airports to most Asian destination with Emirates for under £400, and that includes flights to BKK. If you fly to KL, you also need another flight at extra expense to the Land of Scams (LOS).

They might let you sleep outside in the carpark for that price, sure it's not 50 ringgitt?

If you are flexible with the dates and quick off the mark you can find cheapies.

When AA announced their previous sale I got a couple of return flights bkk-kl-stn for just under 19k bht each.

Alright I was a bit sloppy with the detail in my earlier post, but it's still a dam_n good deal. Believe it or not the room rate is actually 0.81 Ringgit. The admin fee - whatever that is - is 10.40 Ringgit. If you want the "optional" 12 hours of aircon that's 13.49 Ringgit. Total price for one night in a tiny, but comfortable box = 24.70 Ringgitt or around 240 Baht. I know this for sure because I just booked my visa run for June 2010. What do you mean you don't believe me??? Would I lie to you? It's kosher, check it out.

Don't you just love Tony Fernandes?
