I found a supplier for marine grade plywood, epoxy and other building supplies but they are located in Phuket. I can't remember their web address. I had it saved as a bookmark but lost it when I reinstalled windows. I don't know of any supplier up in ChiangMai. I will keep looking for the web. When I talked to them on the phone, they were very friendly and helpful.

Sorry I couldn't offer more help.

OK, I found the supplier I mentioned. They are called Bakri Cono Marine. Hope that helps.

Thanks, looks like they are now Asap-Marine and located in the Ocean Marina(Pattaya),it is even better than Phuket.

I may be there next week, but the purpose of this tread was to try to find a local CM supplier, not a marine of course, but a fiberglass/resin specialists.

A bit confused. Are you building? or repairing?. If building a new boat, consider a better alternative to Marine grade plywood,- Honeycomb polyethylene. Lighter, stronger, no rot, easily repaired, etc. How big is your project? Hobby or production? And why to hel_l CM? Dont you need water sometimes? :D

I found WBP (weather boil proof) plywood in Chiang Mai.

Its not marine standard, but ok if coated with epoxy.

The shop is called "Mai-At Tiwipan" (Tiwipan Plywood).

They call the wood "Mai-At Pramah" (Burma plywood).

They have interior & exterior grade (only use exterior).

Its got a fish logo printed on one corner & the name Sealar.

The shop is on the super-hiway.

From Chang Puak road head East (clockwise).

I think its before the bridge, on the right, (maybe near a BMW garage/showroom).

For Epoxy & glass ask in the picture framing shops opposite the British Council".

Odd place to find it I know.

Sorry for the confusion, but I'm actually rebuilding an old catamaran. It is mostly single skin fiberglass, but has some ply bulkheads to be replaced. It's been shipped here in the container,and... why here?...it's just because my family lives here for now,and at the end it should be easier for me to do it here than rent a space somewhere in Phuket and spend 6 month or so commuting.I just hope I'm right :D .

Anyway,I see you have some knowledge about boat building...I will be glad to meet you sometime. What are you doing here?
